Not quite a new Galaxy, the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus is more of an update of the Samsung Galaxy S II, but given a few fresh toys to tempt in new buyers. It might be able to, if the price is right too.The key thing here is that this S II is sold with Android Jelly Bean as the operating system, which instantly gives the smartphone added appeal. On top of that, there's a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 pixel resolution Super AMOLED display, a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage, microSD card support, an 8-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel camera for networking. Some models come with NFC, but that looks like being a regional thing. All that's missing is the price and shelf date. Samsung will no doubt confirm those in the coming weeks, but if we were put on the spot, we would say all day long that this is a mid-range contract phone. If you don't want the latest premium phone, it might be a decent option too.
