Looking for a cheaper mobile deal? Vodafone might have just the thing for you. A Nearly New smartphone. The name says it all really, these are models that aren't box fresh, instead the phones are returns from customers who had a swift change of mind. Or as Vodafone puts it: 'Phones that have been returned in very good condition by Vodafone customers', adding that 'all phones go through a strict series of checks and processes (including a full security wipe) before being placed on the scheme and are re-boxed with all the right accessories'.So not quite new, but the next best thing and most importantly, just a little bit cheaper. Phones like the HTC One X, iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S III are all offered as part of the scheme, with the latter offered on a £33 monthly deal. That's compared to £37 for a brand new one. Some models are also offered on pay-as-you-go deals, with (for example) the iPhone 4 in 8GB form selling for £250, which compares to £405 for a similar model brand new from Vodafone. Like the contract phones, the handsets are sold with a warranty, 12 months for PAYG, 24 months for contract phones. All depends on what you want and what weight you put on your phone being brand new. If the model you want is on offer and you can live with the pre-owned concept, it's not a bad deal on the face of it.
