We've been talking about it for months, but in just a matter of weeks, we will finally get to see the finished BlackBerry 10 product. That's no longer rumour, that's official, thanks to invites currently dropping on the doormats of tech journalists around the world for 30 January events. Six events are taking place, and we'll be reporting live from the London one about the new BlackBerry 10 operating system and at least one new smartphone. No surprises there, as we have already seen BlackBerry 10 in action as well as the phone expected to be first on the shelves, the touch-screen handset currently known as the L-Series. We're also expecting a traditional QWERTY handset called the N-Series to follow. Some of the new BB phones might be selling from day one too. Another leak yesterday via the Nerdberry site highlighted an internal memo from Vodafone in the UK, claiming the network will offer the hardware from 30 January. It reflects what we heard some time back, that RIM will attempt a superfast turnaround after the official showcase, which should see stock on sale in days.
UPDATE: It also looks like at least one of the new BlackBerry smartphones will rock 4G, after this announcement from the EE network:
"EE can confirm that from launch, it will range BlackBerry 10 for consumer and business customers on its superfast 4GEE service."Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and Three have also been confirmed as stockists for the new BB10 handsets.Sources: Pocket Lint and Nerdberry
