Find local amenities and even learn local street slang direct from your smartphone

Gideon Multimedia has unveiled a novel way of aiding tourists in the UK. mobiEXPLORE UK is a free travel guide that can be downloaded to your smartphone. Users will then be able to narrow their search by specifying the area of the country they are in, before viewing maps, local information, and even colloquial phrases that are used in the area. In addition, a search facility means visitors can search for local amenities such as hotels, B&Bs, camp sites and hostels, as well as cafes, bars and pubs. Once users have found a possible match they can simply hit the call button to connect to them directly.

mobiEXPLORE can be downloaded via a computer or SMS request and as the application works offline no additional charges will be added. However, mobiEXPLORE does offer some online services, such as up-to-date weather forecasts, news special offers, promotions and discounts.
