It was showcased early in October, but details of its availability have been vague at best. Thankfully, Samsung has now confirmed just when the Galaxy S IIImMini will hit the UK.It's down as 8 November, but so far we don't have any pricing details. That's despite the launch being just a week away. Some of the SIM-free sellers have floated prices, with £300 being the average price if you don't want a contract. With the 8GB Nexus 4 selling SIM-free for £239, it doesn't look great value, especially as the specification of the Nexus 4 certainly pushes this into the shade.Saying that, the S III mini does have size on its side and if you want a slightly smaller and lighter smartphone, you might want a look at this. Specifically, it offers a four-inch Super AMOLED screen, a dual-core 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM 5-megapixel camera, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and a choice of 8GB or 16GB of storage, plus Samsung's own software, including the Touchwiz interface. Samsung is also throwing in a couple of games, The Sims 3 and Bejewelled 2, to sweeten the deal.Be interesting to see where the networks pitch this. It is definitely not a premium smartphone, so shouldn't have a top-end price. But it's no slouch either, so don't expect this to be anywhere near the budget range either.
