Google Nexus 10 makes its debut

Rather like the Nexus 4, plenty of detail has already poured out around the Nexus 10 tablet, but it is nice to see everything confirmed by Google.

The tablet is made by Samsung, a 10.05-inch device with an impressive and eye-pleasing 2,560 x 1,600 display and a pixel density of 300 ppi, beating the iPad's screen hands down. It also comes with the latest Android 4.2 operating system and a 9,000mAh lithium polymer battery which should translate to nine hours of video playback and 500 hours on standby. Ideal for a long road trip or flight.

The inner workings are as expected, with a 1.7GHz A15 dual-core processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB and 32GB storage options, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, plus microUSB and microHDMI connectivity.

As we hinted at in an earlier report, this isn't a budget offering from Google and Samsung. The Nexus 10 can be yours from 13 November priced at £319 for the 16GB model, £389 for the larger 32GB option, although that is still significantly cheaper than the similarly-sized iPads.
