LG Nexus 4 could launch on 29 October

New photos of the Google phone also emerge
If you are sick of seeing leaks relating to the LG Nexus 4, you'll be pleased to know that a launch is imminent.
Not only do we now have a date (or at least, a rumoured one), we also have a subtle change of name with the '4' having been added, which is likely to be the launch name of the handset after being spotted in an internal Carphone Warehouse database.
As for the date, French newspaper Le Figaro claims there will be a worldwide launch in 29 October. An interesting choice of day certainly, as that is the date for the Windows Phone 8 launch. We'll be busy that day, that's for sure.
As for the new images, they come via a Belarusian site, with little added to the proposed specification, except word that it will actually come with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean rather than 4.2 as many had expected. Still time for that to change though.
So we're still likely to see a phone with a Qualcomm 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, a 1280x768 True-HD IPS screen and an 8-megapixel camera. Not long to wait to find out if that's true.
