Samsung Galaxy S III Mini leaks ahead of launch

Miniature Galaxy smartphone likely to launch today
No surprise to see details of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III Mini all over the web, because the miniature smartphone is likely to launch officially later today (11 October).
That's not idle speculation, that's down to Samsung's Head of Mobile saying as much yesterday ahead of a launch event in Frankfurt. Although, with so much detail already kicking around the web, Samsung might be tempted to pack up and go home.
Actually, the company probably wants to give us tech writers a chance to get up close and personal with the phone, which is said to come with a four-inch Super AMOLED display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and a 1GHz ST-Ericsson dual-core U8420 SoC processor, the latter slightly disappointing for those of us expecting it to pack a quad-core Exynos processor.
The phone also has 1GB RAM, a 5-megapixel camera at the back, along with a front-facing VGA webcam, internal storage of 16GB, a microSD card expansion slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the operating system.
Price-wise, we're looking at 399 Euros SIM-free, which probably equates to a mid-range smartphone for contracts, especially when you look at that specification.
Hopefully we'll have more on the S III Mini later today, if there is anything more to add.
