Love your radio? Love BBC radio? Well, the BBC iPlayer Radio app is pretty much a no-brainer.Standalone BBC radio is the name of the game here, offering both live broadcasts and catch-up options. But here's the good bit – you'll also have downloads for offline listening (like the TV-based app), which should keep you amused on your commute without the worry of the data charges. On top of that, the app will offer video clips (presumably live gigs and sessions), along with social media integration and the ability to check what's playing where.Shifting between stations and their respective homepages is just a swipe of the finger away and just like the bedside alarms of old, you can set the app to wake you up with your favourite DJ in the morning. Nice.If that sounds good, the iOS version is available from today (Tuesday), with the Android version to follow. We'll keep you posted on the latter.
