Nokia Lumia 510 spotted out and about
04 Oct 2012
Entry-level Windows Phone should be here before the year is out
It launched some high end hardware in the form of the Lumia 820 and 920 last month, but it seems Nokia isn't quite done for phone launches this year.
The new phone is the Nokia Lumia 510, which doesn't match up to those previous two launches, but should appeal to anyone on a budget.
The image spotted by the GSM Arena site doesn't tell us much, but thankfully one of those 'sources' has come up with the goods separately. It tells us that the 510 will feature a 4-inch display, 4GB of internal memory, an 800MHz processor and just 256MB of RAM. The operating system will be Windows 7.8, by all accounts.
It all backs up what we heard last month, specifically that Nokia was planning on releasing Windows 7 phones to boost its budget portfolio. Going Window Phone 8-only limits the company's offering to hardware able to cope with that platform, which is never going to be cheap.
This one is said be on offer for around $150, so possibly £100 or less when it hits the UK. With a launch pitched for some time this year, that could be in time for the Christmas rush.
