Jelly Bean coming soon for HTC One X and One S
03 Oct 2012
Also arriving with HTC Sense 4+ from October
The HTC One X+ was shown off yesterday, but HTC isn't leaving its old customers behind. It has also just announced Jelly Bean updates for both the HTC One X and One S, which is excellent news.
No one is quite sure just when the Jelly Bean flavour of Android will land, as is always the case when dealing with various networks and territories. But HTC has confirmed that the rollout will begin in October. That just happens to be this month.
But don't check the update button just yet. We would imagine the networks will take a few weeks to give it a going over, so you might want to keep an eye out for it as we get well into November, possibly even December. Be a nice Christmas bonus anyway.
Talking of bonuses, when it does land, the phones will also be upgraded to HTC Sense 4+. Details of Sense 4+ are to be found in our HTC One X+ preview, which comes pre-loaded with the new interface. But to give you a rough idea, the new version of sense offers an improved gallery app, access to the camera without having to unlock your phone and HTC Watch 2.0, which brings all your phone's media together.
Look out for that and the Jelly Bean update giving your phone a new lease of life in a matter of weeks.
