01 Oct 2012
New features and now optimised for iPhone 5 screen
There's a new version of Facebook Messenger about, with the latest iOS update echoing a recent update for the Android platform, as well as adding optimising for Apple's latest smartphone.
The changes aren't just for the iPhone though, this is an update for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with users of all those devices now able to swipe to the left to see which of their online friends are online and available for a quick 'chat'.
On top of that, you can also keep your most important friends at the top of the online list saving you scrolling to find them and of course, allowing you to drop those work 'friends' and relations you felt obliged to follow down to the bottom of the list.
The look and feel has changed a little too, with messages now appearing in speech bubbles and the app itself now optimised for the larger screen of the iPhone 5. The app also promises improved speed and more reliability, courtesy of some bug fixes.
Get it or update it right now from the app store.
