Huawei Ascend P1 LTE is EE exclusive
Original P1 gets 4G connectivity and a bigger battery

If the name is familiar, it's perhaps because the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE is a phone we have reviewed in the past, but without the 4G connectivity.

But if you pick up the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE, that's what you get. The phone has launched as an exclusive for the upcoming EE network, the UK's first 4G network. It also comes with a stronger battery too, specifically a 2,000mAh Li-Polymer battery. You might need that on a 4G network.

Apart from that, not a lot has changed from the original. Which means a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, Ice Cream Sandwich for the Android OS, an eight-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, 4GB of internal storage and a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display with scratchproof Corning Gorilla Glass.

No idea of price, but we suspect this is likely to be one of the cheaper offerings when EE announces those 4G contract rates. All the EE 4G prices should be with us fairly soon.
