Tipster claims new phone will launch with new version of Jelly Bean
We saw an early mention of the HTC One X 5 just last week, when it was pitched as the company's answer to the Samsung Galaxy Note II. But it could actually be something a little more significant, this could be the new Google phone.
Specifically, this is being pitched as the Google Nexus 5. At least, it is by an anonymous tipster talking to the GSM Arena site. With that in mind, you might want to take this with the usual pinch of salt. But with rumours of multiple Google phones, there is every chance.
The tip off claims that the Google Nexus 5 will run on Android 4.1.2, which brings bug fixes, improvements, extra lock screen functionality and other minor tweaks. A Google phone with a new version of the OS wouldn't be a surprise at all.
Hardware-wise, the supposedly slim Google Nexus 5 is said to offer a 1080p display and a Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, along with a 12-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, a 2,500mAh battery, 64GB of internal storage and LTE connectivity.
True or not? We don't know for sure, but it shouldn't be long before we get confirmation is this is fact.
