Sony Xperia T coming to UK in late September

Perfect movie tie-in time for James Bond phone
It is loosely known as the James Bond phone and might well make an appearance in the upcoming Skyfall movie. So it's just as well that the Sony Xperia T will launch in time for the movie's debut in UK cinemas.
The latest Bond flick is doing the rounds in early October, just after the UK launch of the phone, which is now expected to be on the shelves between 27-29 September, according to a spokesperson from Expansys.
However, that will be network-only, with no SIM-free models expected in the UK until the start of 2013. So if you want one, you'll have to be willing to sign a contract. The phone should be available across all the networks online, but will initially only be available from a couple of high street retailers, believed to be Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u. Both of those retailers have deals on offer right now with O2 and Orange.
As for the phone itself, it is likely to slip in at the top of Sony's range, packing a 4.6-inch screen powered by the Mobile BRAVIA engine, a 13-megapixel camera with ‘Sleep-to-snap’ feature to take a photo double quick (just over a second from hibernation), NFC connectivity and a dual-core chip.
Sadly, the British secret service is sending Bond out with a phone running on the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android rather than Jelly Bean. Not to worry though, an update is likely to follow pretty soon.
If that's not a problem, you can pre-order your slice of James Bond cool now at those two retailers.
