Samsung Galaxy Note II specification leaks
28 Aug 2012
Points to quad-core 1.4GHz chip and 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen
A leaked image took some of the edge off the expected Samsung Galaxy Note II launch. Now a complete specification could leave Samsung with very little to surprise us with at the Unpacked event tomorrow. Mind you, nothing quite beats a hands-on, which is only available at the official showcase.
If you can't wait for the big reveal, Chinese blog Techorz claims to have the breakdown, although we are not going to take anything as fact until we see the real thing on the Samsung stage. But so close to that launch, we're expecting this to be more fact than fiction.
If it is all fact, we're looking at the expected oversized phone and stylus, housing a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1280x720-pixel resolution. Also inside is a quad-core 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos 4412 processor, an eight-megapixel camera, and support for 3G and 4G LTE networks.
The software is an interesting choice, with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean said to be making an appearance out of the box, rather than a later upgrade from Ice Cream Sandwich. This certainly makes sense, since upgrades for other Galaxy models will be rolling out by the time this smartphone hits the shelves.
We will find out if all of that is correct tomorrow, with confirmation on this very site straight from the launch.
