LG Optimus 4X HD gets UK date
15 Aug 2012
Available from Phones 4u from 27 August
We knew it was coming to the UK, but we didn't know exactly when or indeed where the LG Optimus 4X HD would be sold. Both questions have now been answered.
Phones 4u has come forward as the seller of the phone in the UK, with a date of 27 August being confirmed. You can, however, order one as of today. In fact, if you are one of the first 50 to confirm, you and a friend get tickets to see Cheryl Cole in Birmingham as a 'bonus'. If that's a deal breaker, get in quick. Networks vary, as do prices, but the phone is available for 'free' from £26 per month.
As we mentioned before, the LG Optimus 4X HD packs a large 4.7-inch (1280x720-pixel) True HD IPS display, along with a Nvidia Tegra 3 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. There's also 16GB of storage, a 2150mAh battery, an eight-megapixel BSI (Backside Illumination) camera with LED flash, a 1.3-megapixel networking camera and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the operating system.
Other features include an Eco-Mode, which allows you to manually shut down any of the Tegra 3’s cores for even more control over power consumption and performance, and Quick Memo, which gives one the ability to jot memos or notes over a screen image for saving or sharing with others.
If that sounds like your kind of phone, you know where to go.
