HTC Endeavour C2 is One X successor

All the pieces are coming together, but right now we're not sure if the HTC Endeavour C2 will launch as the HTC One X2 or One X+.

Not all the details have been revealed as yet, but this does seem to be the same phone we saw earlier in the week listed as the the HTC One X+, a sequel to the One X (pictured). However, it's being talked about here as the HTC One X2. That confusion will likely run until the official launch.

The new story, courtesy of Stuff, backs the previous rumour of a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, but also throws in an improved battery, a new colour and some bundled UrBeats earphones. HTC is also said to be adding ClearVoice to improve call quality and it will be the first phone to run HTC Watch 2, the latest version of its video-on-demand service.

The fact that it is compatible with the One X's accessories indicates this isn't a long way from the original model, which presumably means it isn't the phone with the five-inch screen also rumoured to be coming from HTC.

A launch is probably scheduled for the IFA event, with a shelf date of 1 October. It's expected to cost just £5 more than the original offering.
