Lenovo ThinkPad 2 tablet leaks

10.1-inch Windows 8 tablet could launch in October
We know that Windows 8 is launching on 26 October, the same day as Microsoft's Surface tablet. And it could be joined by another Windows 8 device, the Lenovo ThinkPad 2.
Details (and that all-important image) of the ThinkPad 2 have been leaked well ahead of any launch and while they don't give us the whole picture, they do paint a pretty good one.
This is a 10-1-inch device with a 1366x768-pixel IPS display packing a dual-core Intel processor, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage into a frame that's around 9.8mm thin and weighs 650g. There's also an option dock that turns your tablet into something notebook-like. That could be the clue as to where this is heading, possibly more towards the business sector than the sofa surfer.
Other features include the promise of in excess of 10 hours of battery life, two cameras (including an eight-megapixel rear camera), NFC connectivity and a fingerprint reader.
Specifics on the shelf date and price to follow, but it does add to the feeling that there could be a slew of new hardware landing when Windows 8 finally makes its debut.
