iPhone 5 is caught on camera

'Sample' is snapped next to iPhone 4S
OK, it doesn't tell us a lot, but a photo of what is said to be the iPhone 5 has appeared online.
What it does is give us a full view of the phone and a comparison shot against what it replaces. That other phone pictured is the iPhone 4S. If real, it confirms that the new iPhone will offer both a bigger screen and better use of the available area.
Of course, the image could be mocked up, but with so many other images and rumours pointing in the same direction, we are inclined to believe this image from Kitguru.net is the real deal.
It might not be long before we find out either – or see more leaks. A separate story from Japanese blog Macotakara claims that the new iPhone has already gone into production in China. The lead time between production and launch is around two months, so a launch could be as soon as September for the new smartphone.
September or October is likely, allowing Apple plenty of time to work that Christmas market. When anything is confirmed, you'll be the first to know.
