Sporting app is free for Android and iOS smartphones
You can't miss it in the media, which is an indicator that the London 2012 Olympics is getting very close. Another sign is the launch of the BBC Olympics app, which is available to download right now.
Obviously its use is fairly limited right now, as the key selling point here is up to 24 live streams from events to your smartphone. You can also access all the event schedules and results from past events. News stories will also be listed in the app, with the option to save stories to read offline later and you can catch highlights of previous races.
On top of that, there's plenty of background details too, with a profile of just about every athlete competing within the app. So when you want to show off your sporting knowledge done the pub, you know where to go.
If you have an iPhone, you also get a little bonus, the option to personalise a customisable tab bar with your favourite sports.
If all of that appeals, you can download now. Or more realistically, on the opening day of the Olympics.
