Samsung Unpacked event will launch Galaxy Note 2
13 Jul 2012
Event scheduled just ahead of IFA show
Details about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 are starting to firm up. Recently, we heard about a launch at the IFA trade show at the end of August, but now it looks like Samsung wants a little more attention for its upcoming smartphone.
According to the Korean Digital Daily, Samsung is planning one of its Unpacked events just ahead of the IFA event in Berlin, specifically on 30 August and in the German capital, kicking off at 7pm local time. There is no mention of any other device, so this is likely to be a showcase for the Note 2.
It should show off a device with a quad-core Exynos chipset, 12-megapixel camera and larger 5.5-inch screen. Android Jelly Bean will be the operating system. No doubt Samsung will have a few little tricks up its sleeve when the Note 2 launches – you'll have to wait for that launch, which we will be covering, to find out just what.
