Sony Xperia Go landing this month
Earlier than expected launch via O2

The phone launched in May but Sony was a little vague about a shelf date for the Xperia Go. Well, it seems that the phone could be arriving sooner rather than later.

At least, it is with O2. The network has gone live with a 'coming soon' page, promising the Xperia Go from July. Yes, that's right, this very month, so if you want one, you should head to the site or nip into an O2 store to get your name down.

Sadly, there isn't any detail on price, just an offer for 50GB of free cloud storage forever. But if we were guessing, the Xperia Go looks like a mid-range phone with a mid-range price all day long.

The key selling point for the Go is toughness, with a scratch resistant mineral glass display with wet finger tracking and the highest level of dust and water resistance in a smartphone (IP67 Rating).

On top of that, the phone offers a 3.5-inch Reality Display, a five-megapixel fast capture camera, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB of internal storage and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) for the OS, which will be upgraded to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) at some point in the near future.

All of that in a choice of black, white and yellow – and arriving in a matter of days.
