Motorola Atrix HD gets an official outing

Dual-core Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone
A new Atrix smartphone has just been officially unveiled by Motorola.
The Atrix HD has been rumoured for some time, but has now appeared on the Motorola website without too much of an official launch. You suspect Motorola isn't making a great deal over this. Surprising really, as it's not a bad handset if the price is right.
It's not some quad-core monster, as Motorola has packed the Atrix HD with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It also features an eight-megapixel camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing lens for networking, a 4.5-inch HD LCD display with ColorBoost, on-screen navigation keys, a 1780mAh battery, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which you can expand to 32GB with the aid of a card.
It's described as being 'business ready' and is more than prepared for the rough and tumble of office life with its Gorilla Glass and Kevlar construction. The Atrix HD is also LTE-compatible, which might affect the UK launch, even if LTE is on the agenda for the UK at some point.
All should be revealed when the phone does finally get its official press bow. If, or when, we hear about a UK launch, we'll let you know.
