Budget QWERTY handset rolling out across Europe

Any Samsung launch after the Galaxy S III will be a little disappointing, but the Samsung Galaxy Chat will do a job for the right price.

That price is likely to be much further done the scale than the S III, as this is very much your budget messaging phone, with a built-in QWERTY keyboard to make life easier on that front. Talking of messages, Samsung's ChatON messaging app is also included.

Other features include the less-than-budget Android 4.0 operating system, Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz interface, a three-inch QVGA touch-screen, 4GB of storage (you can boost it to 36GB via microSD slot), a two-megapixel camera with no flash, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi.

Spain is the first country in Europe to get this (this month, in fact), but the UK should't be far behind. When it does land, expect it on a modest contract and probably pay-as-you-go.
