The Android 4.0 update for the Sony Xperia S started rolling out a week or so ago, with the networks not wasting any time in getting it out there too. At least, that's the case with the Three network.Yes, just days after the Ice Cream Sandwich rollout started, Three is offering it, but you'll have to work a little harder to get it. This particular update isn't being rolled out over-the-air. You'll have to hook up your phone to your computer using the PC Companion software to get the new version of Android. That's the price you pay for being at the front of the queue.Of course, it should be worth that extra effort to get a phone with improved performance and a more attractive interface, not to mention a new lock screen and resizable widgets. On top of that, as we mentioned previously, Sony has also taken the opportunity to update its music, movie and photo apps too. Music becomes Walkman and gets more social via Facebook, photos also get more friendly with Facebook, as well as being speedier to browse, while movies get a bump in quality and have more background information available. All of that is available now, if you are on Three and choose to upgrade.
