Curved virtual keyboard in Windows Phone 8 possible

If you know the Android keyboard Swype, you'll know the beauty – and speed – of a virtual keyboard that is built to be used with a single digit.

A leaked image has been found by WMPoweruser showing a curved virtual keyboard with several letters grouped together on each key.

Its arc is meant to mirror the area able to be traversed by a thumb, and autocorrect would likely work by narrowing down the possibilities of words based on previous letter choices – much like the highly accurate software on the current keyboard in Windows Phone 7.

It's a pretty sizeable change from the current Windows Phone keyboard so it's likely that we won't see it until the next-gen Windows Phone 8, which is itself such a revamp that it won't be supported by current Windows handsets.
