APP WATCH: Google launches Chrome for iOS
Syncs your browsing between devices

According to Google, take up of the Google Chrome browser has jumped from 160 million to 310 million in a year. The launch of the Chrome browser for iOS will almost certainly bump up the numbers even further.

Yes, Google has brought its speedy browser to the iPad and iPhone, with fast searching and navigation from the same box and results that appear as you type.

Not only that, as desktop users will know, you can quickly open an unlimited number of tabs, but in this case, you can flip through them like a 'deck of cards'. On the iPad, you can swipe from edge to edge to switch tabs.

But there's one other selling point too - you can use the browser across all your devices. Sign in to Chrome to sync your open tabs, bookmarks, passwords, and omnibox data from your computer to your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. Yes, work at your desk and carry on with the same pages as you go (even when offline). A bit like the Mozilla sync, but with the browser built in.

It has just gone live in the App Store and is, of course, free.
