Virgin Media launches its Premiere tariff
25 Jun 2012
Unlimited data and texts, plus 2,500 minutes from £26 per month
Virgin Media has a new contract deal on offer – and if you are a heavy data user, the Premiere tariff might be for you.
The contracts start from £26 per month over 24 months, offering customers 2,500 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited calls to UK landlines and unlimited data. That's proper unlimited data, not unlimited until you reach some company limit. If you're already a Virgin Media customer you get £5 off that too, taking the price down to £21 monthly.
Obviously, the phone choice isn't the top-end selection. But it's not bad. So far, Virgin has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus, Samsung Galaxy Ace, BlackBerry Curve 9320 and HTC Desire C are all available for 'free' at the headline price. If you want the Samsung Galaxy S III on a Premiere deal, you can have one, but the price will rise to £41 per month.
On top of that, Virgin will offer free insurance for existing customers (£7.99 is the price for the rest of us), while a three-month trial of Spotify Premium is also included.
Virgin Media director of mobile Jamie Heywood said: 'As people look for the best value, we’re delighted we’ve been able to put together some amazing tariffs with unlimited offerings that our customers can enjoy without worrying about hidden extras, as well as helping to combat bill shock.'
The tariff is available now. Check out the Virgin Mobile site for the full details and the full range of phones.
