Making it easy to jump from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy S III

One major concern about switching phones is transferring your data, even more so if you are changing platform. Which is where Easy Phone Sync comes in.

Samsung is offering the app to anyone in the UK who buys a Galaxy device. Why is that a good thing? Well, the app transfers your contacts and data, should you currently be using an iPhone, which includes photos, DRM-free music, podcasts and video, all via an iTunes backup on your computer or Mac.

Once you've downloaded the software on that computer and on your Galaxy mobile (it's only a Galaxy product so far), you can carry on using iTunes for your media. Nice.

'We’re really proud to announce the launch of this new application and can’t wait to hear what our new and existing customers think of it,' said Simon Stanford, VP of Samsung's UK & Ireland telecommunications and networks division.

'We know that traditionally iPhone users have been reluctant to switch to an Android device because they couldn’t use iTunes to manage their content. Easy Phone Sync means people can now enjoy their iTunes content on a Samsung Galaxy phone. What’s more is that it’s really easy for them to do, and literally takes five minutes to set up.'
