Huawei Honour now available in the UK
20 Jun 2012
Mid-range Android available SIM-free from £210
We got sight of this back in February, but only now has it launched in the UK.
It's not available on contract either, you'll have to buy one SIM-free in this country. But more on that later, let's talk about the phone first.
The Honour, previously known by its Americanised spelling of Honor, packs a 1.4GHz processor, four-inch 480x854-pixel HD display, an eight-megapixel camera and a 1900mAh battery, which promises some serious life between charges. The previews hinted at a summer upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich. Well, it's summer now and the phone is launching with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Hopefully that upgrade will follow.
We haven't got a review done and dusted yet, so you'll have to take a chance on the handset. But it does look like a solid mid-range offering, despite that older version of Android.
Price-wise, that depends on where you shop. The likes of Clove, Expansys and Play are all selling it, with the cost for all hovering around the recommended price of £250. Saying that, you can get it as cheap as £210 if you head to Expansys.
