HTC Ville C specification leaks

The HTC Desire C was only launched a couple of days back, but it already looks like another HTC smartphone is just around the corner – the HTC Ville C.

A specification of the phone has just appeared on the BriefMobile site but there's no official image. However, judging by the specification, it's not going to be much different to the HTC One S that's pictured on this page and reviewed here. But there are a couple of key differences.

According to the leaked document, the Ville C will pack a 4.3-inch AMOLED screen, 1GB of RAM, an eight-megapixel camera and a VGA front-facing lens for video calling. The phone will be powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor, which is a little bit down on the 1.5GHz S4 processor found on the One S. Ice Cream Sandwich is the version of Android on here.

So why should we be excited? Well, the document also promises Sense 4.5, the latest upgrade for HTC's Android interface. No details of that are available, so we're left hanging a bit. But it does make the launch of what looks like a fairly decent mid-range smartphone an altogether more anticipated affair.

No news on when this will launch, but with a video recently doing the rounds claiming to show the super-slim Ville C, it's unlikely to be too long off.

Why is this phone needed when it is barely any different to the (oh so very slightly superior) One S?
