HTC Desire C specifications confirmed

We caught sight of it last week and had a set of rumoured details to go with it. But now it looks like we have the official image and specification of the HTC Desire C.

Those details appeared on the Vodafone site in Portugal, before being swiftly removed by the company. Not swiftly enough though, as someone got screengrabs of the phone and its details before Vodafone got on top of it.

The screengrabs offer up a press shot of the handset and a rather detailed list of what the phone offers, which does differ a little from the previously-rumoured specification.

The new spec confirms a 3.5-inch screen with 320x480-pixel resolution, a 600MHz processor, HSDPA connectivity, 4GB of internal memory and a five-megapixel camera. All of that points to a low-end device, but it is a phone that will run Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, which instantly gives it some appeal, especially if the price is right (which is likely to be the case).

If Vodafone is leaking pages like this, we suspect a launch and indeed, a shelf date, is just around the corner. Price-wise, we just have the expected European SIM-free price right now, which is below €200.
