Another day, another Samsung Galaxy S III leak. Well, it is the biggest launch around, so are you surprised? Today's leak is via Amazon, which has offered up a pre-order for the phone on its site.Yes, a pre-order well ahead of the official launch, although the page doesn't offer up an image of the finished product (we're using an earlier leaked image here). Shame. But it does effectively confirm the specification of the smartphone, which is slightly different to the one offered by Vietnamese site Tinhte last week. The Amazon breakdown states that the phone has a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display, as opposed to the 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen previously rumoured. A 12-megapixel camera listed here is considerably better than the one 'confirmed' last week too. However, Android Ice Cream Sandwich for the operating system is as we expected.
Previous leaks have also pointed to a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and NFC connectivity, none of which are mentioned in the Amazon breakdown. But with regard to those features that are listed, note that this is a phone being sold by Amazon, rather than a third party. So the specification here has more chance of being on the money, we would think.Apart from the image, a shelf date is also missing, which would have been a nice guide to when the high street would see it. As for a price, the German Amazon page points to €599 (around £489), which is the SIM-free price and sounding about right to us. All will be revealed in under two weeks. We're counting down those days.Source: BestBoyz
