It launched earlier this week, with no price or retail date offered for the Panasonic Eluga Power at the time. But we now have a fairly good idea just when Panasonic's dual-core Android smartphone will be landing on UK shelves.Once again, the details come from the online phone retailers. In this case, Clove. That particular retailer has started to take pre-orders on the phone for Panasonic's flagship launch, which will cost you £478.80 including VAT, should you want to go down the SIM-free route. As for a date, nothing exact, but 'late April' is fairly specific. As for networks, we really don't know. Panasonic said late last year it was ready to go big in the European market, with an estimated sales total of 15 million units by 2015 in this particular territory. With that in mind, you suspect deals are being done with the big networks - and with hardware that looks to be a winner, it just might make those inroads. In regard to this particular piece of hardware, the Eluga Power offers up a five-inch 1280x720 LCD display, a dual-core Qualcomm S4 1.5GHz chip, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the OS and an 1800mAh battery, capable of hitting 50% of its capacity in just 30 minutes. It's alaso water and dust-proof and has NFC connectivity, an eight-megapixel camera with auto-focus, 1080p full HD video recording, auto-scene recognition and an 8X digital zoom plus a networking camera, 8GB of storage and a microSD slot. All of that is unlikely to come cheap on contract. When we get those details, we'll give you the full lowdown.
