HTC One X priced for the UK

If you caught our launch story about the One family of phones from HTC, you'll know that the approximate shelf date given for the phones was April, but pricing and network details were not offered at the time. The details for the HTC One X have now started to come to light.

If you want one SIM-free, retailer Mobile Phones Direct has set the benchmark for that, offering it for £470. But interestingly, the retailer also has contract details on offer too, with deals on T-Mobile and Vodafone for £31 per month. The T-Mobile deal includes 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of mobile data. Vodafone's deal is 300 minutes, 500MB of data and unlimited texts, both deals covering a two-year period. The retailer has 5 April as the specific shelf date.

Those networks aren't the only ones offering the phone though, so you might want to sit tight until all the prices are out on the open. Phones 4u is also taking pre-order enquiries, while O2 has a coming soon page. To complete the picture, Orange has said it will have the phone too, sometime in the second quarter of 2012.

If you want to know more about this slim Ice Cream Sandwich phone with a quad-core processor, 4.7-inch Super LCD and eight-megapixel camera, check out our hands-on with the handset to see it in action and to see just how big it is compared to an iPhone 4S.
