LG launches L-Style designer smartphones

LG was one of the pioneers of style before substance when it came to mobile phones - often in a good way - so we felt a wave of nostalgia when it announced the L-Style range of stylin' smartphones.

This new 'design range' launches with the LG Optimus L3, to be unveiled at next week’s Mobile World Congress. Other than those we brought you last month, the specs of the LG Optimus L3 are being kept tightly under wraps, but LG is more loose-lipped with what we can expect from its L-Style philosophy.

According to the horse's mouth, there are five elements to the design, with ‘Modern Square Style’ offering a more ergonomic grip, and a slimmer look achieved via the ‘Floating Mass Technology’. The ‘Seamless Layout’ will make it easier to bang in the right keys, while the ‘Harmonized Design Contrast’ and ‘Sensuous Slim Shape’ complete with metallic accents and size zero credentials should ensure all L-Style handsets are head-turners for all the right reasons.

Other L-Style handsets on the horizon include the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered LG Optimus L5 and Optimus L7, which will sport four-inch and 4.3-inch touch-screen displays respectively – both of which should be unveiled before July this year.
