Sony Xperia S gets priced for contract

We heard some network rumours last month, but now the cat is out of the bag when it comes to contract pricing for the Sony Xperia S, as one website has detailed a range of deals for the main networks.

The dual-core Xperia S, which was launched at CES at the start of the year, has been priced at the BuyMobilePhones site for O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Three and Vodafone. If you want one, the cheapest plan gets you the Sony Xperia S for free for £21.50 per month. That's an O2 deal with 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of data each month. Not bad for a high-end smartphone.

If that doesn't appeal, check the retailer's site, as there are many variations offering more of an allowance for more of your cash. But note that this is a pre-order. You'll have to wait before you get your Xperia S, which is likely to be next month.

If you missed it, check out our hands-on with the first NXT phone from Sony. You'll find Android 2.3 for the OS (upgrading late to Ice Cream Sandwich), along with a 4.3-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and HD resolution screen (1280x720), front (720p) and back (1080p) cameras for HD recording, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 32GB of internal flash storage, a 12-megapixel Sony Exmor R rear camera, NFC and HD sharing through DLNA and HDMI plus BRAVIA Sync compatibility.

If that appeals, you can get your order in now.
