The initial schedule just said, rather vaguely, 'early 2012'. But now HTC has started to put some meat on the bones of its Ice Cream Sandwich schedule.According to a post on its Facebook page, HTC will start the rollout of Google's latest Android operating system in March, kicking off with the Sensation family – HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE, followed soon thereafter by the HTC Sensation XL. It should have started by the end of that particular month. It's slightly less good news for the rest of the HTC phones promised an upgrade. That same Facebook page says further updates are coming 'later this year'. Yeah, we know, not exactly giving us much to go on. But it does mention by name the HTC Evo 3D, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD. So if you have one of those, that's at least some good news. Why the delay? Who knows. Maybe HTC isn't keen on throwing out a mass of different updates in one swoop. As we all well know, these updates do occasionally go wrong. It probably asks a bit of the networks too, which have to test each and every one to death. When we hear about the specifics of those other models, we'll let you know.
