When the phone first launched, the Motorola Motoluxe was confirmed for Europe, but not necessarily for the UK. Don't worry, Motorola has just cleared things up, as well as confirming that the smartphone will arrive earlier than planned. The Motoluxe is now hitting the UK at the end of this month, which is good news if you want a new and affordable Android in your life. Not that the company or indeed any of the networks have confirmed the price as yet. But a quick scan of the features tells us that this isn't going to be the most expensive Android phone on the retailer's shelf.Pretty reasonable set of features though, if the price is right. That includes an 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, a four-inch, 480x854 touch-screen display, an eight-megapixel camera with auto-focus, a VGA camera for chatting and perhaps the most interesting feature, an illuminated lanyard that lets you know if you've received a text, missed a call or have an email incoming. Other features include Bluetooth, GPS and a 1400 mAh battery, which should offer up to 6.5 hours of talktime, 19 days of standby time. Android 2.3 Gingerbread is the OS, sharing the interface with Motorola's own MotoSwitch. If colour is important, there's a choice of liquorice or white. As we said, no pricing as yet. Expect that to follow now the big announcement is out of the way.
