We heard it was coming when one of the online retailers offered it a while back. But only now has Samsung officially confirmed the white version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for the UK.Speaking about the launch, Samsung's Simon Stanford said: 'After much speculation, we are pleased to announce the availability of the Galaxy Nexus white which follows the great reception the phone has received since it was launched back in November.''One of the things we at Samsung pride ourselves on is the choice we offer customers, and we’ve enjoyed huge success to date by introducing white variants of our most popular models to our product portfolio.'The date has been confirmed too, which is 13 February, a week later than the online retailer in question promised it. Clove has since amended that date and is offering it SIM-free for £498, should you want without a contract.Of course, we expect most of the big retailers to offer a white variation on contract too. In short, if a network currently offers the black version, they'll probably have the white one coming in too. Give them a call or fire over an email if you fancy one.As for the phone itself, you can check out our review here, which is a pretty strong recommendation, with one or two reservations. Ice Cream Sandwich is of course the Android operating system, with the handset also packing a 4.65-Inch Super AMOLED screen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing lens, 16GB of storage plus Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC.If you fancy that in white, just a week to go.
