LG Optimus L3 E400 spotted online

One affordable LG Android was spotted in January (LG Optimus 2) and now there's another – the LG Optimus L3 E400.

Likely to be called simply the LG Optimus L3 when it finally takes an official bow, the phone has been spotted at a Swedish online retailer for the equivalent of £120. Which tells us that this is very much a budget phone and that it is intended for the European market. So expect it on the shelves of our very own retailers fairly soon.

Its curved metallic frame and latticed back perhaps hint at a premium phone, but the features reflect that price point, with the L3 offering up a 3.2-inch screen (320x240 pixels) and a three-megapixel camera (without a flash), but it does come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the operating system. Colour choice for the phone is black or white.

The retailer is talking 27 February for availability, so still time for a UK launch / UK availability before that date. If we get some official word, we'll let you know. Otherwise, look out for it as a minor MWC launch by the company.
