Quad-core LG X3 handset leaked

HTC is likely to be showing off a quad-core phone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in February, but it looks like it will not be alone.

Also leaking online is another quad-core smartphone from LG, going by the name of the X3. That's likely to be an in-house name – we'll know the shelf name when the phone launches, which is 'likely' to be at that MWC event.

In terms of what you get, well a very slim phone (9mm) with a lot of features, headed up, of course, with the quad-core Tegra 3 processor. You'll also find a 4.7-inch high resolution 1280x720 display, an eight-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel networking camera, 16GB of storage (backed up with a microSD slot), NFC and as you might expect, Ice Cream Sandwich for the Android operating system. There's also said to be a 2000mAh battery, so plenty of power too. No point having all the features with a duff battery.

When will we see it? After that launch, a shelf date of late spring or early summer has been mentioned, but expect that to be confirmed next month.
