Nokia Lumia 710 lands on 1 February

We spotted that Orange was stocking the Nokia Lumia 710, but now we have a date. That date is 1 February.

That's not rumour, that's fact. A fact straight from Nokia. The company used the Nokia UK Mobcast to confirm the date, although it didn't come forward with any pricing. With a launch two weeks away, there shouldn't be long to wait for the small print.

As we said earlier in the week, Orange put up a pre-order page with initial details, but again no price (or date), with Three following that with its own pre-order page, again without the specifics. We suspect other networks will follow, especially with Nokia letting the cat out of the bag.

If you missed it at launch, the phone isn't too far from the Nokia Lumia 800, with 8GB of storage (compared to 16GB on the 800), a 3.7-inch WVGA ClearBlack screen and a five-megapixel auto focus camera. There's also a 1.4GHz processor (with hardware acceleration and graphics processor) and the niche selling point, interchangeable covers.

What we can say almost certainly is that the Lumia 710 will be cheaper than the Lumia 800 (as the SIM-free price is), with the latter selling for around £36 per month on a contract, if you want a guide.
