Bug fix confirmed for Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Well, it's been a good week for owners of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Yesterday, we heard that a Flash Player was arriving soon for the Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone. Now we hear that a particularly annoying bug is also being corrected pretty much as you read this.

In a statement, Google said: 'We're currently rolling out a fix for the volume issue which will reach everyone in the coming week.' So keep checking your smartphone for that all important update, it should be arriving any day now.

The problem, if you missed it earlier, was a considerable nuisance to early adopters of the latest Google phone. Basically, the volume would randomly increase and decrease. It was said to be a network-specific problem rather than affecting all phones, down to the the 900MHz 2G frequency. Although that hasn't been officially confirmed by Google. Either way, it has been nailed and sorted now.

Once it arrives and once Flash takes its place on the phone (an unspecified date in December), the Samsung Galaxy Nexus should be ready to tough it out with the other mobile big boys. Great timing with the Christmas sales getting into top gear.
