LG has already confirmed that the LG Optimus 2X will be getting an Ice Cream Sandwich update, but the company has now announced the other LG handsets on the receiving end of the Android upgrade. Not many, it has to be said.Using the medium of Facebook, LG has confirmed that the LG Optimus 2X will be joined by the Optimus Black, the Optimus 3D and the Optimus LTE, the latter being a US phone, so not something we will worry too much about. Good news if you have one of those, a little concerning if you don't. But that's not the end of the line.LG adds that it will be 'continuing to evaluate the ICS OS to determine whether it is compatible with the functionality, features and performance of other LG smartphones to make the ICS OS available on as many LG smartphones as possible'. So if the folk in the LG labs get it working with other handsets, it might yet roll out to more. Fingers crossed. In terms of timescale, that information is to follow in 'December this year'. Seeing as that starts in a couple of days, not long to wait. However, early spring seems to be the favoured date for most manufacturers so far. Keep an eye on the LG Facebook page for specifics though.
