If the thought of watching new and classic movies on your mobile device has ever appealed, we have some good news – the launch of Android Movies. Although, as the name indicates, this particular selection is aimed squarely at Android users. You'll need the app before you get the movies. But once you've got that, you can access around 1,000 films via Wi-Fi or 3G, prices starting at £2.49, but increasing to £3.49 if you want the latest blockbusters. Once downloaded, you've got 30 days to watch your movie of choice. Although you can watch that title as many times as you like in a 24-hour period.According to Crave, you can watch the titles via HDMI on the big screen, as well as a computer. After all, a special effects-laden Hollywood epic might lose something on a HTC Wildfire. Talking of Hollywood, some of the titles on offer at launch include George Harrison: Living in The Material World and The Green Lantern, as well as older titles like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Not exactly the sort of thing that'll have us hurrying to grab the app, but if you've missed it and you're stuck at an airport, perhaps it's worth a go.The app is free to download and browsing the titles is free too, so you've nothing to lose checking the service out ahead of downloading.
