Amid all the doom and gloom of the latest RIM financial reports was some good news, specifically that the company was seeing 'strong sell-through and customer interest' in its latest BlackBerry OS 7 smartphones. Which goes a long way in explaining why the company keeps pushing them out, the latest of which is likely to be the BlackBerry Curve 9380.The BGR site got the hands-on with this new BlackBerry (the one pictured on the left) and as such, got the breakdown of what it offers ahead of the official launch. According to BGR, that's a smartphone that mixes the styling of the BlackBerry Bold and the BlackBerry Touch 985, as well as being the first 'touch' BlackBerry Curve from the company. As for its specification, the Curve 9380 has an 800MHz processor, 3.25-inch display, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture support, 1GB of built-in storage and NFC connectivity, as well as BlackBerry Os 7 for the operating system.Usually BlackBerry leaks appear way in advance of an official launch, but this could be different. Canadian network Telus is saying this will land 'sooner rather than later'. At least, it will in its native Canada. Still likely to land in the UK this side of 2012 though. After that, it's all about the QNX phones.
