Just a few months after the original launched (and reviewed by us), there's a new Sensation on the block, with the name sounding all the more appropriate when applied to the HTC Sensation XE.A few smartphones have leaked with the Beats Audio branding, but this one has officially launched, complete with some matching in-ear headphones. Use them and you'll get an enhanced audio profile, changing the music, no matter what it is, to suit those 'phones. But hip hop is presumably better catered for than the classics with those Dr Dre roots. The branded earphones also have a rather cool remote control on the cable too, as well as a built in microphone to deal with calls hands-free.So what if you aren't that bothered about music? Well, you'll be missing out on the big selling point, that's for sure. But this isn't a one-trick pony. The processor is bumped up, with the Sensation XE offering a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, albeit with the same 768MB as the last model. There's also a 4.3-inch qHD display, an 8-megapixel camera (which can also shoot 1080p video), a VGA one on the front for networking, Android 2.3.4 with HTC Sense 3.0 for the operating system and interface, plus an 8GB or 16GB microSD card and a larger battery. Well, with all that music playback, you'll need one.So how much will this music-loving monster cost you? Well, if you go to Phones4U and want the 'free' phone, you'll be looking at a monthly outlay of £36 per month for a two year deal. That offer will be available from 1 October. If you want to go sim-free, £492 is the price at Clove at around the same time.
