Acer Liquid Mini Ferrari Edition launches

Last year it gave the sports car treatment to the Liquid E, now Acer has unveiled its latest Italian collaboration, the Liquid Mini Ferrari Edition.

If the phone sounds familiar, it should, as it's been around for a few months now. Indeed, we reviewed it back in March, giving it a fairly average rating in the process. The 600MHz processor did hold it back. That's still here, although the Android OS has now been upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. You'll also find a 3.2-inch HVGA screen, 512MB RAM, a five-megapixel camera and an 8GB microSD card for storage. Of course, that's only half the story.

The Ferrari branding is the big draw here for fans of the iconic car maker, a casing of Ferrari red, along with the famous shield on the rear. If that's not enough, Acer also throws in a (possibly annoying over time) Ferrari engine ringtone, along with alarms and message alerts plus exclusive wallpapers, pictures and videos. It's almost certainly a Ferrari lover's must-have.

The Ferrari Edition will be sold with an exclusive Bluetooth headset, but right now, we don't know when it will be sold or indeed, how much it will sell for. Keep an eye on the official page for details.
